The canal bus takes you from Hjellebrygga pier in Skien to Lunde locks. In Lunde you will embark of one of the historic canal boats and enjoy the peaceful journey downstream to Skien.
On your way you will experience 5 locks, including Vrangfoss which is the largest lock in the canal with 5 chambers.
The package includes a canal bus from Skien to Lunde, and then a canal trip from Lunde back to Skien.

- Kl. 12.52 arrival at Lunde lock.
- Kl. 13.25 departure with MS Henrik Ibsen from Lunde lock.
- Kl. 17.30 arrival at Hjellebrygga pier in Skien.
Sundays:
- Kl. 11.35 attendance at Hjellebrygga pier in Skien.
- Kl. 11.50 departure with the canal bus from Hjellebrygga pier.
- Kl. 12.50 arrival at Lunde lock.

You can also do this trip the opposite way, by starting in Skien at kl. 08.10 in the morning with the canal boat to Lunde, and bus back on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Practical information on board:
Parking:
Your car can be parked at the parking lot at Hjellebrygga pier free of charge. Be aware that you need a parking permit in your front window to avoid fines.
Here’s how you collect the parking permit:
If you will travel on Wednesdays or Fridays, you will receive a parking permit on your email one day prior to departure. REMEMBER TO PRINT THE PERMIT IN ADVANCE.

If you travel on Sundays, you must collect it from the bus driver before departure.
Meals on board:
There is a restaurant on board. It is possible to prebook breakfast and lunch with your tickets. You can also order food directly at the boat from their menu without prebooking. It is not possible to book a table for the entire journey.

Rate:
Adults from 16 years: From NOK 968,- to NOK 1005,- per adult.
Children 4-15 years: From NOK 367,- to NOK 405,- per child.
Children 0-3 years: Free of charge
The rate for this package can vary when it comes to your choice of date. Please select date of choice to see the package rate.

Booking:
Due to the dispatch of parking permit, we recommend that all bookings are made at least one day prior to departure.
PS! These are rates for online bookings. Fee for bookings made over phone or email is NOK 80,- per person.
Payment:
All reservations must be paid in full when booking.
